One of the struggles of family shoots is getting everyone looking at the camera at the same time. This is why I have a strong preference for candid shots to compliment the posed shots. You get the best of both worlds and it’s less stress on everyone involved. The biggest help is having some behind the scenes help - in this shoot, grandpa was behind me making faces at little Elan to make him smile.
